Lakeland Processing Company with a convenient location in the heart of Los Angeles, California, operates the newest and most customer-friendly wastewater treatment facility in Southern California.

Lakeland Processing Company (“LPC“) can accept the following non-hazardous wastewater streams in Bulk, Drums, or Totes:

Accepted Non-Hazardous San Juan Capistrano Wastewater
We do NOT accept the following San Juan Capistrano wastewater
  • Highly Odorous
  • High Oil/Solvent Content
  • High Viscosity
  • Sanitary Sources
  • Biomedical Sources
  • Plating Etching
  • Surface preparation
  • Alkaline or acid cleaning
  • Metal finishing
  • Anodizing operations
Must NOT be hazardous waste according to state or federal law Essentially:
  1. Flash point must be greater than 140F.

  2. pH must be greater than 2 and less than 12.5.

  3. Must not react to produce toxic gas. Generally, this includes cyanides greater than 250 ppm and sulfides greater than 500 ppm.

  4. Must not contain any substances in excess of the limits.

    Cadmium 0.2 mg/l
    Chromium 8.9 mg/l
    Copper 4.9 mg/l
    Nickel 37.5 mg/l

    These are mostly metals, but include some organics, pesticides, and other toxics.


  5. Cannot be generated by certain specific "listed" sources or processes.
Lakeland Processing has a special off-loading station available for higher percent solids and debris.


LPC can accept a wide variety of other non-hazardous liquids that must be properly evaluated prior to acceptance into the processing facility.
